SUMMARY:The Love that heals
DESCRIPTION:This talk is an exploration of love as more than sentiment—di
 vine Love is a spiritual law with the power to heal. Drawing from her fath
 er’s transformational healing and teachings from Christian Science\, she
  explores the idea that divine Love is the true nature of God. Deb shares 
 passages from the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy (the Discovere
 r and Founder of Christian Science)\, which unfold the healing rules and l
 aws of divine Love. Through accounts and practical examples\, Deb explains
  how prayer rooted in this love can reveal truth\, dissolve fear\, and res
 tore harmony in any situation.\nSPEAKER: Deborah Packer\, CS\nfrom Canberr
 a\, Australia\nChristian Science practitioner and member of the Christian 
 Science Board of Lectureship\n\nDeborah grew up in a Christian Science fam
 ily where spiritual healing was considered just the normal way of handling
  life’s problems\, including illness. Over the years she witnessed her p
 arents quickly heal many childhood diseases and even the effects of accide
 nts and illness in their pets. As Deborah grew so did her desire to also b
 e able to heal like this.\n\nDeborah worked for the New South Wales Depart
 ment of Education for over thirty years. For most of this time she worked 
 with students who had been diagnosed with significant learning difficultie
 s and intellectual disabilities. For the last ten years of this work she w
 as in charge of a team of fifty-plus specialist learning difficulties teac
 hers. These years provided her with constant opportunities to use the trut
 hs she had been taught in Christian Science and to witness man’s unlimit

 eborah found she was receiving requests for prayerful support.  This led 
 her to resign from the Education Department and take up the full-time prac
