"Courage, strength, selflessness, love, and spiritual understanding are each a powerful Christian response to any enemy."
Even when faced with hateful words or acts, we can pray that divine Love will guide us in how best to respond. After inviting a distant relative to stay in her house, this writer discovered a deep-seated resentment in her houseguest and even a plot to exact revenge on her family. Read how her prayers helped her to love this individual, and how her kindness and the divine Love that impelled her acts removed the threat to her family.
"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
Matthew 5:43, 44
