You can be made new-now!

Faced with having to have his leg amputated this writer from Rockhampton, Queensland, felt terrified. Through prayer the writer gained an understanding of his unmarred spiritual perfection. He writes ‘As we resolve things into thoughts, we grow into the newness of spiritual life.’ With this new understanding he was healed of a tropical ulcer, and his life was renewed.

"Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
Christ Jesus
Luke 12:27
"Perfection underlies reality. Without perfection, nothing is wholly real."

A selfless Christmas

How an enlarged sense of love for others overcame stress & self-pity at Christmas

Christmas can be a challenging time. But when this young woman found out she had to work all night on Christmas Eve she felt as though she was being robbed of all the goodness she associated with Christmas. Read how, as she prayed to understand more about the true sense of Christmas, she realised she could express the selfless love of Christ wherever she was.

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Luke 2:14
"Love, redolent with unselfishness, bathes all in beauty and light."
Mary Baker Eddy
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p.516
"I love to observe Christmas in quietude, humility, benevolence, charity, letting good will towards man, eloquent silence, prayer, and praise express my conception of Truth’s appearing."

Why gratitude packs a surprising punch

Why is gratitude so powerful? When asked to think of things he was grateful for, this writer thought the request pretty lame in the face of sickness. But when he thoughtfully became grateful for just a few things something remarkable happened. The sickness melted away, and the feelings of darkness and depression vanished. Read his article….
"Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all."
I Chronicles 29:12
"Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more. Gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks. Action expresses more gratitude than speech."
