Gratitude that heals bodies and transforms lives

How can we best deal with overwhelming feelings of doubt, despair and debilitating pain?

This writer was faced with all these problems.   Read how he came through those dark days by humbly turning to God, divine Love, with gratitude for every evidence of freedom, until his healing was complete.

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalms 100 : 4 & 5
"Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual, — neither in nor of matter, — and the body will then utter no complaints."
— Mary Baker Eddy
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 14
"Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."

God’s help when in need

Can we always be sure that God will help us if we have an urgent need?

This writer was travelling between countries, when he discovered that his passport was missing. Instead of becoming panic-stricken, he prayed to know that God, the all-knowing Mind, was in control of His creation. Read how his passport was discovered and returned to him.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4 : 19

Power we can trust

With all the power struggles going on in the world, is it possible to find a power that is truly safe and trustworthy?

After a lengthy and seemingly insurmountable confrontation with an imposing state bureaucracy, this writer saw this verse from Jeremiah in the Bible: “Be not afraid of their faces”.

Read how… her fear disappeared, and in a short time the entire situation was resolved.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3 : 5 & 6
"Step by step will those who trust Him find that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

How can I stop being so critical?

Can we learn to appreciate and nurture the good in ourselves and others, and avoid critical thoughts?

This writer was habitually finding faults in everyone, which robbed her of her peace of mind. She turned to her Bible which reveals man made in God’s image, spiritual and perfect, Read how, through this clearer view, she regained her peace.

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:….And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Genesis 1 : 26 & 31
"Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.”
— Mary Baker Eddy
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 106
"Man is, and forever has been, God’s reflection. God is infinite, ever present, and there is no other power nor presence.”
— Mary Baker Eddy
